Bettina Knett
Bettina Stefanie Knett was born in Vienna and started to study classical ballet in 2005. Since 2010, she has specialised in 17th/18th century stage dances and studied with Jadwiga Nowaczek, Kaj Sylegard, Jörgen Schou-Pedersen and Guillaume Jablonka. From 2011, she was an apprentice with „Neoba“ and became a regular member in 2013. In 2015, she was invited as a soloist to „La Danza“ in Munich. 2017 she was invited to work with „Theatro Barocco“ and „Hartig Ensemble“. Since then, she has also participated in several other projects and is dancing in Cannes, Göttweig, Munich, Nice, Purkersdorf, St.Gilgen and Vienna.
In 2014, she started teaching ballet classes. Since then, she has completed a course in educational theory at the University of Vienna, and since 2023, she has also been a certified teacher of "Progressing Ballet Technique".
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program designed to enhance students' technique by training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. It is a unique training system using ballet-technique-specific exercises to train skill acquisition in a graded and progressive manner from junior through to advanced levels. PBT helps teachers worldwide prepare their students to receive the strength they need to achieve their personal best.
